Quadriga Superfund - Managed Futures

  1. Trend following is dead, don't you know that?

Just don't tell this guy: http://www.abrahamtrading.com/perform2.htm

He probably thinks that 22.4% compounded over 19 years with only 3 down years actually means something.

I had an account managed by Argus from Oct- Dec 06 and the account lost 25%.

    Hi DWV-

I mentioned ARgus because their name was brought up a few messages ago. If you want to know more of the details regarding them you could email or pm me ( not sure that anyone else is intertested)- but obviously they were not good!

Thanks Sally - I was not necessarily interested in them but I was wondering how you found them and/or similar money managers. They updated their website and it looks like they were up big before October. When i search for money managers the list is huge - like finding a needle in a haystack.

  6. What's the general consensus on Superfund A? Good, bad, or ugly?

    dwitherell,

I am a current shareholder of the B shares. I have been Dollar Cost Averaging since 2005. I have no complaints besides the high cost/fees etc. associated with it but so far they have no real competition at the $5k/$1k minimum subscription level so what can one do.

  9. Expensive, horrible performance last couple years. They rip investors off with ABOVE industry standard annual and performance fees and very high brokerage fees. If at least they would perform like they did in the 90s but it's just sideways churning since 3 years. Not that they care, they still make good money on the annual 5% base fee and the brokerage fees.

is it standard practice that a fund takes a cut of the brokerage fees ?
