It's quite easy to find out your previous trades. Just click on the "Trade Log" button and you will notice a list of trades you have done, with opeining time, closing time, types of action (buy or sell), number of contracts, commission, etc. Of course it's legal, your broker has the responsibility to watch you. In fact they build the system to monitor your account. Where do you think they get information about your account and send you a margin notice? why are you surprised?
Tuesday, 5/3: +190. Then did some non-method trades, shorting the resistance, made it to +808. I always like to short the bulltards buying, but sometimes the bulltards can push it higher and kill bears.
thursday, 5/5: +2212. broke rules, so the result is not a reflection of the method. yesterday, +1200. broke rules too, so the result if not a reflection of the method.
No trade yesterday (Friday), was working on a job. Soon I will devote most of my day time to a job, having little time to trade. Swing trading is not my cup of tea, thank you very much.
Tuesday, May 10: -850. I think I did 9 trades, 8 of them are losers, only one winner. All are short trades. tough day for bears.
Wed. 5/11: +3500. Got a job to do today and had only one hour to trade. Started the day ok, some winners and accumulated some money, then a loser took the money away. So I shorted the resistance and got the money back. That was breaking the rules. Then 4 consecutive losers, now I was in red. In the meantime, I had to get ready to work, so I put on a few short contracts and set a limit target and shut down the computer. When I came back, I was up 3500. But that was breaking the rules.
Thur., 5/12: -10,500. Shorted 7 contracts at around 97.80 in the morning, 4 contracts were forcibly liquidated at around 99.80, 1 contract was liquidated at 100.30. Did I break the rules? YES.
Why not ask your broker to give you the real-time trades of an established and profitable oil trader instead? Seems like a no-brainer to me
In response to the above post, here is how proper trading is done. Fri., 5/13: +195. 1 contract, 5 trades. Every single trade followed the rules. The rest is to size up. There were a few setups I missed due to posting on ET this morning while trading.
