Hi All, Right now I'm receiving ticks on the NDX and SPX cash indices every 15 seconds via Qcharts. I'm also getting the TICK and TIKI every 15 seconds as well. Does anyone know which exchange I should subscribe to in order to get these items on a real-time, tick-by-tick basis? I sent an e-mail to Qcharts with this question yesterday, but of course, they have not replied (yet). Thanks. -- Punter
Qcharts and QQQ I don't know why but QQQ charts doesn't show up. I'm subscribed to NASD, AMEX and NYSE. NYSE:QQQ doesn't show anything If I do ISLD:QQQ, I can see only the last price. I remember I use to get it a long time ago. Is there something I'm missing?
Bob is right about the QQQ symbol. Punter, Good Luck getting an answer to your email. I think there is a forum on Silicon Investor with some QCharts experts. I think you'd have better luck getting an answer there. I'm waiting for a better system myself. Last time I emailed Lycos about QCharts, I got a response about 40 days later saying something to the effect of "we have received your email but haven't gotten around to answering it yet. Thanks for your inquiry." A joke.
what bothers me a lot is to know some qcharts users are very happy. they have timely data delivery and no problem. while, like many, my qcharts would often lag 10 seconds or just die. I did quit months ago though. even more annoying, impossible to know what is the difference between them and us.. surely you won`t get any help from lycos support. too bad because qcharts is very good software and has very good addons.. neo
Punter, most data feeds provide quotes for these indexes at 15-second intervals. There is no way to get them faster through a subscription at quote.com. Some providers apparently have something called "fast cash indexes" which update more quickly. The NDX and SPX quotes in the IB TWS are supposedly like this. It was discussed before in this thread: http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2076&perpage=6&pagenumber=3 Note: this 15-sec lag is one reason why people watch the mini futures to see changes more quickly. Also, one of the best sources for information about QCharts/quote.com is the Yahoo group. Quote.com employees monitor this group and respond to questions. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/qcharts/ cheers, -v
