Sure, absolutely, the more info the better. I guess my point is that volume without IV can be very misleading, because you don't know whether it's buying or selling that's driving the volume. IV gives you a look inside that volume and makes the picture clear.
Well I know I decided to let my August puts on the OEX and calls on the Vix run yesterday instead of taking a quick 100% profit and then sold them early today for very little profit. This chop makes it hard to make $ on options trying to play a trend. Of course I'll be right back in if this turns.
