Putin's Puppet Calls for Readmitting Russia Into G7

Discussion in 'Politics' started by exGOPer, Jun 8, 2018.

  1. Perhaps Trump is going for a diplomatic grand slam: Better relations with North Korea, Russia, and perhaps China. On realclearpolitics.com I thought there was an article that mentioned China removed some missiles off one of it’s man-made islands. If that is correct, was China’s action a diplomatic gesture?

Should Trump pull off this diplomatic grand slam and avoid a trade war with the Europeans, he might be a contender for best President ever. Not best husband ever, not most empathetic person ever, not best Christian ever, but best President ever.

I, for one, hope Trump pulls it off.

  2. Best presidential host to herpes perhaps.

“Because of the humid weather, plus a recent typhoon in the region, it is likely that those systems needed to be temporarily removed for repair or to have some of the parts replaced,” said Li.

Probably going to put back bigger missiles.

Considering the seemingly fake destruction of the NK test sites... do you want to buy a bridge?

  3. From your post, it sounds like we should prepare for our inevitable war with China, is not Russia as well. How about we give peace a chance? Long term peace, even if chances are low, has unlimited upside potential. War with nuclear powers has unlimited downside.

For your daughter’s and the planet’s future, I hope the world’s leaders focus on long term peace.

  4. Two things.

    1. Exponential population growth.
    2. A.I.

You are too young to have any memory of the Cold War. Don't bother telling us about it, we comprehend how MAD doctrine worked on levels you cannot. We have had long term calm in the world relatively speaking.

There is no peace except the moving of pieces.

    1. Exponential population growth.
The population growth rate of the major nuclear powers is slowing down. Although China has recently incentivized a higher birth rate. There are plenty of resources for the nuclear powers for the near future. Indeed, if we cooperated with each other, less resources would be wasted and very large energy and other projects would become feasible, thereby reducing the need for traditional resources even further.

AI has great potential to destabilize on many levels. As technology evolves, smaller and smaller groups of people will have the power to change the world. Many times the most innovative are the ones who have had to overcome the most difficult situations. It is in the major power’s best interest to create a long term peace plan together.

MAD is for dad. If we maintain an adversarial relationship with major powers in a world with rapidly increasing technology, sooner or later a country will feel they have the upper hand against its ENEMIES or a country may feel it can’t keep up. Either situation is dangerous and may encourage dangerous, world threatening actions to be attempted.

There is no peace except the moving of pieces.
If we never evolve from this kind of thinking, there will be no one to bury the remains of human civilization on this planet, we will never leave Earth and visit other worlds.

The world is changing, my paternalistic dad, and it is time for policies to be adjusted to this new reality.

Damn, I sound like a idealistic, rainbow and unicorn Liberal and you sound like an old Conversative warhorse!

    See, things do change!

    Did you see this ?

    https://www.businessinsider.com.au/...rump-administration-confirms-2018-4?r=US&IR=T
    • Mike Pompeo, the head of the CIA and President Donald Trump’s nominee for secretary of state, confirmed on Thursday that the US military killed hundreds of Russians in an intense fight in Syria.
    • The US had previously only confirmed killing 100 or so pro-Syrian regime forces, but multiple outlets reported the number was as high as 300 and that the soldiers were Russian military contractors.
    • Russian military contractors aren’t official Russian troops, but volunteers to private military firms.
    • Reports on the firms’ communications indicate they were badly humiliated by the lopsided loss.

I'm guessing you didn't read the part where the Russians decided to attack the American position and they had no other choice than to decimate them? You can't seriously be expecting people to also die for the buffoon?
