WASHINGTON (AP) â The U.S. and six other nations say they are suspending participation in the planning for an international summit in Russia this summer. The White House issued the joint statement on behalf of the Group of Seven. That's the U.S., Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the United Kingdom. The nations also participate in the Group of Eight economic group, which includes Russia. In the joint statement, the countries say they condemn Russia's "clear violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine." They say Russia's advances in Ukraine violate the "principles and values" on which the G-7 and G-8 operate. Russia is scheduled to host the G-8 summit in June in Sochi, site of the recently completed Winter Olympics. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/03/02/g-7-russia_n_4886978.html
"When JFK looked weak to Nikita Khrushchev, we got the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1963. When Jimmy Carter bear-hugged Brezhnev, we got the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. When Bill Clinton failed to stop Bin Laden for seven whole years, we got 9/11/01 in New York City. And when Obama clowned it up for the world, alienating our allies and bowing down to our deadly enemies, we got this weekâs Russian invasion of the Ukraine."
LOL...soviet union. Putin is securing a natural gas pivot point for Europe and the black sea. Nothing more.
I would have voted for him too. Of course I would have rather voted for a well dressed zombie over the affirmative action unqualified lying POS we have in the WH now.
