I LOVE technology!! Good competent innovative technology that is. Technology might be the only chance that we have to conquer time. Nature is not always reliable. What if there is no sun? What if the sun exploded? How are you going to tell time? With technology, there will still be a way. Technology for the win!!
Now you are being just totally silly. If the sun exploded, everything after that in your sentence is moot. If the sun explodes, there is no more technology.
But you don't know that. The technology that we know today all depends on the existence of the sun. What if one day we discover a source of technology that does not need the existence or the sun and will compensate for the absence of the sun?
the two watches in my list are a breguet skeleton watch and a Ulysses Nardin Freak. What does that say about my personality?
I don't know specifically technically, but I'm Just basically saying....You Are...what you are. You Are...what you drive. You Are...what you choose to wear. You Are...what kind of hairstyle you have. You Are...what kind of pet you have. You Are...what kind of religion you choose to adapt to, or accept. You Are....what kind of shoes you decide to wear. You Are...what kind of electronics and brand you use. You Are...what kind of stores and websites you shop at. You Are...what kind of websites and whatever else online how you spend your time online. Even with trading....if you do penny stocks, day trading, long term investing, mutual funds, options, aggressive bets, conservative bets, etc etc...that too also reflects...who You Are as a person. People, and animals, for the most part....matches their body, look, with their personality, lives, purpose. It's somewhat rare....to find say what looks like a Shark, who actually is a primate monkey. School teachers.....all generally....look like school teachers. While fire fighters...all generally look like fire fighters. But back to the original topic of wrist watches....with a Breguet Skeleton and Ulysses Nardin Freak...you would be a guy who admires inner understanding, depth of structure. Purpose of engineering. And those similar principles applies to essentially all aspects of your life, personality, essence.
Hi! For a brief point in time, I was into watches too. It started one day when I took a new Swiss Army watch to a jeweler to take a few links out of the band. As he worked on it, I flipped through a watch magazine that was sitting nearby. I commented that I had no idea there were so many watch brands, and how expensive they were. The guy then told me he had sold a Patek Philippe to a local Doctor a few months prior, I believe the price tag was $17k. The Doctor returned a few weeks afterwards and told the salesman how much he loved the watch. The Doctor then admitted that when he showed his girlfriend the watch, she said, "Oh, that's nice, is it a Timex?", haha
Losses are part of the game. You just need to manage it. The best approach is to use a stop loss order. The long PUT is not going to do much for you when you loss. The long PUT is generally used to reduce the capital requirement on the trade so you can trade more contracts. By knowing your probability of success you can determine the best stop loss price. For example if you win 70%, then a 2x stop will give you a positive expectancy.
Thank you swingtrader! Hmm, I'll have to experiment with a stop loss and long puts to see which one I favor more. Just a question or two. When I sell these puts (Etrade and Vanguard) I must have the cash to cover the puts if I am assigned. If I set up a spread, I no longer have to have the cash to cover the short side? Also, perhaps you could give me an example showing your formula for choosing a stop loss price as I don't completely understand it. Thanks!
Put spreads and credit spreads, especially weekly, are great for creating income! Make sure you're doing it on the right stocks.
