Thank you to all who are trying to save the Newbies from the Scam artists. However being Newbies, chances are that none of them will pay any attention to what you are saying. I see that Pure whatever give a trial subscription for 10 days. It costs a whopping $29.00 . If the Newbie canât figure it out for themselves that they are being ripped off in 10 days then perhaps they belong in the room. Thanks again to all the self appointed scam artist sheriffs. Might I suggest that you might be more helpful to the Newbie if you ignored the scam artists. If Alex and Cajun are the only people posting to the threads most will ignore them. Seeing you guys insult and call names is very entertaining but it brings eyeballs to the very clowns you are trying to put out of business. Wouldnât your time be better spent instructing Newbies how to properly trade than steering them to sites you think they should avoid. Donât use em, never been to the website, donât care if they stay in business or not, Iâm here for the entertainment value. J
Actually, you make a good point. Baron is happy to delete content which doesn't further his aims. Fair enough, this is not a charity or public service site. The fact that I have repeatedly pointed out that these people are scammers, and have never had my posts deleted, means that Spectra doesn't want my posts deleted. I also think you're right in implying that there is a certain kind of person who's just going to lose their money one way or another. This is why it doesn't matter to me that eyeballs are getting drawn to their 'service'. I figure that if one semi-rational individual who had maybe heard of this service comes here, and see the truth (and last night was a truth-fest of epic proprtions) then we can maybe save that guy some money. If eyeballs are attracted to the service as a result of our revelations, and those people read thorugh the thread and still decide to join, they're just cannon fodder in the markets anyways.
>>I don't mean any disrespect but if you find value in Pureprick you are definitely in at least one of the following groups. A) A Complete Newbie, B) A Complete Moron, C) A Shill, D) Alex or Geoff, E) An excited new subscriber who has yet to see the atrocities. `Susana>> Well, that's one way to veil an insult. Didn't work, but I can see why Alex, et al, have such high praises for you... As for PureTick, I have cancelled my subscription because my own concurrent system is more profitable. I see nothing wrong with Alex's system or the newbies in his room. Every room has its own dynamics, personalities and boneheads who remind real traders that some people never grow up or out of the simulator. For education on the YM, I think Alex is a good resource. I do not need introductory futures training, but most do, so to restate the bottom line of my first post on PureTick, if your own system makes more than Alex's, keep doing what you're doing... if not, pony up and try it out. If spending $300 and finding out it's not a trail you wish to keep walking is a one-time expense that you cannot stomach, go back to washing dishes and save money to increase your capital before leaving the safe haven of papertrading. I have ways to keep track of PT performance, and who knows, my system may stop working tomorrow, in which case I might jump back into PT. Ya never know. I like to laugh, but I try to keep my trading anti-social to avoid distractions and drama. Thus, I choose not to enter the personality affair so common on ET. As always, trading questions are fair game. Good trading to all.
There have been several reports of how it's really difficult to cancel the trial and that many people have reported being charged the $300 despite having canceled. I think this is the real reason there is not a free trial.
That's a total newbie failure excuse. Our phone number is on the main page at the very top. We have a live help chat session. A live room. An 800 #, a fax number and e-mail. Anyone who has reported that has just 'forgot' to cancel Cunparis--You can signup for the trial RIGHT NOW and cancel 8 minutes later. You will STILL have FULL access for the 10 days but it will not rebill. I had 10 voice mails while I was at the gym in deadzone. I've already processed them all! Now if you call and leave no message or don't email or don't contact us then yes its a bit difficult to do anything Out of 1000 users I think I've made two mistakes and they were credited right back. Slip of fingers etc.. Cajun Geoff
I don't think that's probably true. Back when I was a sponsor I had a great relationship with Baron and there were plenty of posts I'd have loved to have had deleted but if they did not fit some criteria they stayed and I had to deal with it.
I may write Baron about once every 2 months to remove a post. But it has to be pretty out of control and nasty for that to happen. Usually if someone is just set on flaming I'll ask him to boot the user. Cajun
Ok, maybe Spectra has asked Baron to delete some of the posts that point out the ugly truth about the alleged scam he's running. I still think there's some truth to the idea that all the negative posts tend to draw eyeballs to the service which in turn will result in credulous newbs signing up despite the fact that they read about the service in the context of a scam-alert. At this point there's very little doubt about the what PureSchmuck is all about. Enough people have posted their experiences, especially with the alleged credit card scheme, and the shills who post in favour are so obvious - they sign up, make a few positive posts about PureDreck, and then they're never heard from again. We found out that the millionaire trader running the place, with 35 years in the markets and a $1MM offer from GS, lives in a 1 bedroom condo that a relative had to sell to him for $1 as window dressing. Case basically closed, I'd say.
Who give's a rat's ass? Alex needs to stay on his lithium, and poor Geoff is just his puppet that is happy to make an extra $100 a day flipping two lots in YM! Any newbie that joins needs to be aware of the situation, and this board has done a great job educating them. A $29 trial is harmless as long as you DO NOT follow Alex's calls in the market. ROCK ON PURETICK!
