Great question apple. Personally, I never try to figure these things out, just take note of the fact. If you don't normally read annual reports, I tell you, they can be very fun and enlightening to read. Give one a try, you'll be glad you did. Just go to google finance, put in the MS ticker, and scroll down to the bottom and find SEC reports. I can't think of the name for an annual report of the top of my head, something like 10K I believe. That may answer your question.
