  2. OK buddy, I am done fighting you. You don't trade with real money. I have no idea if you got filled at the midpoint, hit a bid or lifted an offer. I am sure DAX Options are liquid as hell but it still would have been interesting to know how you worked the order. None of your screen shots show a DOM or order entry capabilities. You claim to trade options yet I don't see any screen shots of an options chain. No mention of any greeks even.

You don't trade with real money and that is fine, I still give you credit for publicly posting trades. Now go drink your New Castle or Guinness and please follow the law at all times. I think in your neck of the woods it is now called Sharia Law...stay safe...

  4. I need to apologize to you for doubting you. I also need to say that I am sorry for making a reference to England and Sharia Law. I doubted you but when you posted that picture of monkeys with the word "Like" next to them in red well....That is the exact moment I became a believer in you.

I wouldn't be surprised if Goldman Sachs tracks you down after a post like this. "Sir are you the one who posted a picture of monkeys on Elite Trader to prove that you had a real account? Do we have a job offer for you sir!!!!!".

  6. If you don't feel something, you are not trading large enough. Ask George Soros about psych and the other greats, you will quickly be proven wrong.

  7. You've summarized here the core of psychology in trading.
There is a threshold, where when trading, it is the trader's subconscious mind that takes the trading decisions. This is something I am now working on. I'd say that trading is a wonderful invention: it allows one to really work on oneself.

Actually, in these cases : people are operating on the subconscious mind level :

In their case, it is kind of easier to train the subconscious, as the "task" is a fiwed stak, well defined and not part of a variable environment, and most importantly does not involve money directly.

The key aspect of Trading is in the sense, that money is involved - that the trader wants it or not - so that the emotions become fully involved. Also, people get into trading in the first place because money is involved, so somewhere their subconscious already has to "work" on some money issues to start with.
From the start, aspiring traders could start by training their emotions in regards to money.

I wonder if trading is all about training one's emotions ( emotions), as well as training one's mind ( technical).

There is absolutely nothing wrong with converting the loft into a bedroom if the wife asks, but not so just because she asks.

If you do it just because she asks, then you have some serious issues to address that are affecting your life, whether you know it or not.

Maybe she would like to change the car at the same time.

Now that is a far better approach, even if she does not like it at first.

Who knows, maybe at the end of it all the new car might become a reality also.

When you look at the markets on a daily basis, you are seeing the exact same things that happen in everyday life, pure and utter stupidity.
