If your wife said to you, "Honey, I think we should convert the loft into a bedroom for the kids", what would you do?

We will assume that you have a wife, kids and a loft.

I'll play along, although I feel like this may end up being another "obvious" thread where everything is in riddles.

I do not see any riddle in what I asked, nor do I think any other person will also see?

A simple question with an honest answer.

I would do a bunch of probably quick and informal feasibility studies on all of our options and discuss it with her.

  8. Thanks, I have no reason to dislike you but honestly, I think you might paper trade and try to pass if off as real trades. You do post trade ideas well in advance so that alone is better than 90% of the people on this site who claim to be gurus. I just don't think everyone of your trades is real. I think you might mix in real trades with paper trade ideas.

The fact that I asked for a time stamp for your options trade and you produce nothing leads me to believe real money was not on the line for that specific trade. It takes like 2 seconds to copy and paste that from a past trade, really easy stuff. But again, I give you credit for posting trades well in advance in your journal. Most on here don't even put themselves out there at all.

Could you post a trade blotter for the month of November on here? You could black out your account # and home address ect... This is a common practice for people who share real money journal trades. Let me share with you the different possible levels that you can be in here on ET.

LEVEL #1. Know-it-all who has an opinion on everything but never publicly shares exact entry and exit levels for a trade ahead of time. If confronted they will never risk putting themselves out there for judgement by sharing an exact trade in advance. (The excuses are endless). They will speak of biases that they have in the market but when pressed they will refuse to share exact thoughts. Jack Hershey is legendary for his array of verbal gymnastics yet he was always a LEVEL #1 guy.

LEVEL #2. Person who keeps a public journal AND OR puts themselves out there when confronted. This person should be open and honest if real money is on the line or if it is just a paper trade. No real reason to be a liar here at this level, it is a great accomplishment to even share an exact idea since so many refuse to do just that.

LEVEL #3. Real trader with Real money on the line. This person shares account statements/blotters. Time stamps on trades are usually shown. For options trades it is really easy to go back and match the time stamp with the tape. These traders are sharing everything. Note, it is usually very hard to get a vendor to be at this level.

I congratulate you Mr. Trading Education Buyer for being at LEVEL #2. The real question is, will you ever be at LEVEL #3??? I think you are just a few simple screen shots or PDFs away potentially. There is also the possibility that you are a hybrid, that you mix in real trades with paper trade ideas that you share publicly.
