I get anxious at times and reading you post helped me realize when it happens so I appreciate you posting this. Thank you.
Psychology can't fix trading without rules. It can't fix stupidity where fix is defined as eliminating feelings of gambling and being in an environment that's totally beyond control. Trades should fit within the realm of what we can control, . ......but otherwise studying psychology is helpful.
From my pov of there wasn't anything provocative in my post other than the thread title, and the title is sincere. What issues are you referring to?
Psychology might help traders understand why they would go trading live without rules in the first place. I used to be very suspicious of psychology, and I have now turned into a big believed of psychology in its broadest sense ( including spirituality and mindset). Why do you think psychology can't help eliminate feelings of gambling? nor help people handle a chaotic environnement?
Too late in the day for me to figure out how to solve everyone elses trading woes but I want to say if I remember correctly you were posting spirituality minded content for quite awhile and I respect that. You've posted some great videos. Thank you.
Day trading is like being hooked on Heroin or Cocaine. http://stanford.edu/group/spanlab/Press/bk0206press.html
Psychology is the same no matter what you are trying to do, be it trying to deal with other people at work, or trying to come to terms with losing money when trading or investing. If it is the same, then why do people behave in a totally different way when it comes to trading and investing. No matter how well you get to like your workmates, there is no way in the world you are going to hand them out free money. There is something far more important to understand than psychology when it comes to trading and investing, and it is so simple that most fail to even consider it, let alone understand it.
