When Congress members are forced out of session to hide, barricade and evacuated from uninvited individuals (many angry and yelling threats) storming the building after being directed by the President of the United States and co-conspirators (instigators)... It's a makeshift coup and they will be viewed by most of America as Domestic Terrorists...not Patriots except to the minority of America that believes in conspiracy theories about the U.S. Presidential elections, Georgia Run-off Elections and Covid-19. People died yesterday from medical emergencies and a veteran was killed by Police to enforce the seriousness of the threat (terror) and many others with baseball bats...some were armed with makeshift weapons and a few found in other areas near the Capitol with guns / bombs. There's going to be a lot of firings, resignations and arrests. Resignations starting from the leadership and arrests working from bottom to up. Just as sad, America has lost its world leadership in Democracy and the current situation being exploited by countries like Iran, North Korea (haven't heard any info about Russia but they must be happy and eating popcorn right now while knowing its the beginning / not the ending) about the failures of Democracy. That's a critical issue going forward in many foreign policies and negotiations. Simply, expect more fallout because America isn't too forgiving of leadership behaving as traitors especially those that incite violence towards our Congress. On another note, you mention a few hundred arrests although there's video evidence / facial recognition experts saying +1700 and eye witnesses identified those involved. Simply, there's going to be more arrests and new legislature the coming weeks to prevent something like this from happening again especially with a deranged President not willing to have a peaceful transition of power. Personally, Cruz and Hawley should be expelled and at the minimum...censored in Congress. During the Civil War...they would have already been taken out back and shot. P.S. Social media temporary disabling the POTUS accounts but is a slap in the face via the that it should just be banned until the new administration takes over those accounts. It should have been done early in the Pandemic when all the misinformation / disinformation began. wrbtrader
Oh, I think they were trying to temporarily stop the Senators from fulfilling their Constitutional duty to appoint a Supreme Court Justice and in doing so maybe sway opinion towards their cause. I don’t recall them being armed, they just wanted to be heard, make a scene, problem is they needed to do it in a lawful manner, and sometimes stupidity rules the day. The protesters who stormed the Capitol yesterday are in that same light. If they honestly thought they were going to take control of the Government they were ignorant in epoch portions. No they just wanted to be heard and for them, those who broke the law, stupidly ruled the day. I don’t have a problem with the thousands of folks who showed up to protest their concerns over the election, that’s their right. Only a small portion of them broke the law by entering the Capitol, those took it too far. The same as the protesters who stormed the Senate during the Kavanaugh hearings. Sometimes you call a spade a spade.
The Senators and Congressmen who objected, were all within their Constitutional rights. It happens to some degree in almost every election. Those who broke the law and illegally entered the building should be arrested and prosecuted just like all the others before them.
3 dead from "medical emergencies", Trump demographic alright. Not antifa. You have a respectable taste in movies, the whole everything is a stagnant pond and there is no hope thing though jibes with this.
No, not the same thing when the head of the Senate called it insurrection. Long gun found and molotov cocktail found BTW. Intent was very different. The charges will reflect this. Mitch called it failed insurrection. This was a Trump production, he violated his oath of office. Rudy and Don Jr tweets before should lead to their arrest. You are just small of mind, everything above your head is the same to you.
I agree with one issue but not the other in that the specific individuals I sited have experience with angry mob carrying baseball bats versus angry women carrying signs about rape / hands of mouth. Simply, you don't yell support and raise your fists in solidarity with those carrying baseball bats as they near your Congressional session. I don't know about you...I do have a little experience via the military with urban angry crowds, outside the military via as a former leader of a militia group and lived within two different WTO riots (Seattle / Québec). Political leaders...raising their fists, yelling in solidarity or giving rally speeches and then "implied instructions"...you're inciting violence especially without understanding the purpose of those you're doing such too but a civilian without experience with such would not know that. By the way, hopefully you're not comparing protestors at the Kavanaugh hearings to yesterday's protestors that stormed and enter the Capital yesterday...some with baseball bats, makeshift weapons and militia gear. wrbtrader
