I have good news and bad news for the OP. The bad news first: Even without a marriage you are screwed if living with someone. Consider common law marriage: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common-law_marriage#United_States In 11 states after X years she becames your common law wife. Read up on it. Also, even if she is just a girlfriend, she can get pregnant, and there it is, a childsupport for you. Or two. (vasectomy works wonders in this regard) Now the good news, there are solutions: A hitman for her, or a suicede for you. I was glad to help....
I am going on 25 years..........I could not think of going through this life without her. I have made fortunes and lost them, she has stayed the same through it all. She is loyal, smart, a great mom and a great cook !!
That's the really shitty thing, she won't let him see the kid. They had a very bad breakup and so she really hates him. Anytime she finds out he is making just slightly more money she is back in court with him, and she does not let him see the little boy. She does let his mom and dad see him, and thankfully they do the right thing and let Justin know so he can come over and be a dad. It's a messy situation...and she's god damn ugly...I really don't know what he was thinking.
I think that a lot of people don't even realize how great having kids is until they have them. I never wanted any until I had them. It totally changed my life and who I am/was. Your entire world changes, and in a good way.
<i>"I am going on 25 years..........I could not think of going through this life without her."</i> Going on 6 years myself and expecting 30 - 40 more. Every man's absolute fantasy girl in every way. I'm totally blessed. Only regret is we didn't meet years sooner, but life has a way of working itself out with ideal timing overall. I have also endured the painful divorce process, but we remained friends thru it all. If you do a good job of picking the right partner up front, there aren't any disaster scenarios in the end. Lived thru both ends of the spectrum, common ground was excellent character women in each case. Fools rush into trades and poor partner relationships alike, and regret both in the end.
Wise words, that you single guys should take. Going on twenty-one years with the same woman. Never broken up a single day.
Here are some more words of wisdom: "It's better to be lucky than smart" Don't mistake *luck* for wisdom ...
<i>"Don't mistake *luck* for wisdom ..."</i> Absolutely true. No one can control meeting an ideal person, making that relationship work thru all stages, etc. Mostly out of our control. What is in our control would be who we "settle" for. Women are easy to attract for any decent man at all. Having the wisdom to choose the right one is a completely different story. There is some degree of luck involved... just like trading. Anyone who has had big trade(s) stopped out by a single tick OR held stop by a single tick before running deep into profits at various times knows exactly what the truth in degree of luck for trading really is.
The thing with prenup is that it does not override the stature. In most US states the stature is that each spouse gets 50% of assets and debts acquired during the course of the marriage. Typically your assets prior to marriage are not touched, neither are hers. The same goes for inheritance and gifts directly to you or your spouse. So if you give your wife a $100,000 diamond ring as a present, it's hers, and will not be added to the pool. You can't put in the prenup something like: âthe husband is the primary earner, therefore he will get 90% of the assets, as this will not be upheld. This makes the prenup of limited use as far as protecting your assets beyond what court would give you anyway. The useful part is setting the expectations, and disclosing all assets and liabilities, and letting her know that you have the balls to ask for the prenup â so everyone getting married should go for a prenup. If you're worth $500K now, and $10M 10 years later when you get divorced, count on her getting at least 4.75M, plus alimony and child support, prenup or no prenup. Here is an excellent link to give you an idea of the child support amount: http://www.alllaw.com/calculators/childsupport/
