I suppose with two billion you could hire a pretty good lawyer, but then so could she to come after it. My cousin makes about $130,000 a year and has to pay $3700 a month to his ex girlfriend, who lives in a place where most people make less than $1500 a month. It's definatly not based on need in this case.
don't get married in first place duh! obviously she don't have more $ than you or this thread would not exist. so, you want to marry her to keep her from f^cking around .. right? put a ring on her fanger give her an expensive fairy tale ceremony, show her your 'love' and she wouldn't dare f^ck your best friend, right? That's the kind of culture we need to be a great culture again. But instead, today women are dicks and men are pussies - a complete and disgusting role reversal. once married, if you are gifted money or inherit money, r.e., stocks and stuff, etc keep it separate and do not co-mingle funds in a common account or common entity. again, im not an atty, so if you are married and gonna come into some dough, spend $200-$300 on a consult with an atty.
i heard on the radio that the owner of the local baseball franchise is selling a 49% interest in the team, supposedly to settle up with the soon-to-be ex-wife. BTW, i asked to see the formula for the payment calc's... they use this financial calculator with paper rolling outta it like an accountant would use. i was told "no one uderstands the calcs".
think about what "bastard" really means, in terms of forcing men to marry women they impregnate. all children have a mother & father - the rest is just societal labeling to coerce behavior. once you have the kids, you're screwed anyway, in or outta wedlock. and while we're on the subject... do you think as many women/men would press for divorce if they were forced to go out an earn a living again, rather than assuming they would get majority custody of children, receive a check for child support and spousal support; not to mention the ability to go back in at any time and ask for more?
