Proprietary Trading Firms

  1. If you go to a prop firm where you put up "risk capital" they usually don't care what strategy you use, you just hopefully make money from it :)

  2. also, try the metals stocks like TIE, RTI, PCU, ATI, etc.

TIE moves about $5 a day right now, a golden nugget for any daytrader. it moves pretty much in one direction during the day with a few exceptions of course just like any other stock. the stock usually has one major trend all day long and really moves. just a tidbit of info.

do u trade earnings? wait until earnings day and then trade in direction stock gapped, usually works? also, u watch cramer? he moves stocks, BIG TIME!!!!! as long as he mentions them, it goes either way. i don't buy on his recommendations, i just watch and wait for stock to move for next month or two in huge daily ranges. he likes RACK, ANDE, SIRF, FTI, etc.

    just curious.

  10. No, I never look at news, forms bias for me. I just turn on the charting package in the morning and scalp the price from what I see.

I thought about trading earnings, but have not tried yet, something to attempt in the future I guess :)
