If you go to a prop firm where you put up "risk capital" they usually don't care what strategy you use, you just hopefully make money from it
also, try the metals stocks like TIE, RTI, PCU, ATI, etc. TIE moves about $5 a day right now, a golden nugget for any daytrader. it moves pretty much in one direction during the day with a few exceptions of course just like any other stock. the stock usually has one major trend all day long and really moves. just a tidbit of info.
Sweet, now that is what I'm talking about, those are the kinds of stocks I like to trade, added TIE, PCU, and ATI to my watchlist. Thanks.
optionzztrader the greatest day trader of all time is dan zanger bar none. he's been in 10 national magazines over the past 7 years. in 18 month in 1998-1999 he took 11k to $42 million trading stocks which nobodys come close to.last year he made $25 mi. his documented results have been in fortune money and many big magazines. man he made over 15 million on goog last year.he's got balls of steel . and whats amzing he started his huge run in 1998 at age 44 and is 52 now
trading one bread and butter stock is better to do than chasing different stocks which i already knew, but the pro trader course cofirmed it. mine is TIE, gettin to know the stock real well.
Wow.... jesus... that's some amazing returns. But.... the risk involved was huge........ I wonder what type of trading he was doing.
hey mowery dan zangar is a chartist. i visit his website regularly, pretty cool stuff. it's chartpattern.com if anybody is interested.
jmowery do u trade earnings? wait until earnings day and then trade in direction stock gapped, usually works? also, u watch cramer? he moves stocks, BIG TIME!!!!! as long as he mentions them, it goes either way. i don't buy on his recommendations, i just watch and wait for stock to move for next month or two in huge daily ranges. he likes RACK, ANDE, SIRF, FTI, etc. just curious.
No, I never look at news, forms bias for me. I just turn on the charting package in the morning and scalp the price from what I see. I thought about trading earnings, but have not tried yet, something to attempt in the future I guess
