  1. I jsut had a look at the capitilization list. I couldnt find FXDD on there, what name are they under? Also does anyone have a general idea of FXDD as a FX broker RE their financial stability and general service?

    Thanks in Advance.

From what I recall, FXDD used a loopole because its biggest shareholder is Tradition, a very large interdealer broker. However, FXDD has decided to register, which if I'm not mistaken, it can easily afford to do. I'm sure the Saviour will correct this if it's wrong. If it has, it will show up in the next report.

  8. When scalping - system stability is really important.
You need backup Internet access lines, as well as a very stable computer system. Probably you are heavily leveraged into short term trades, so that means a communication failure will sometimes be very unnerving. Always employ stops on scalps so that you have some minimum protection - if you suspect you can be without contact with your broker trading system.

I can't say much about the stability of those above, but IB has been very good for me.

I also prefer running Linux - and NOT Windows for system stability. I run VMWare virtual instances of systems on top of Linux, so that I can have systems take over at a failure and providing redundancy.

I'd run Windows XP SP3 on an Intel based PC with an AT&T or Verizon DSL or Fiber Optic line.

Anything else is just asking for problems in my opinion.
