Proper Set Up

Discussion in 'Prop Firms' started by Canuck709, Jun 23, 2009.

  1. For those indivualds who trade remote for a prop firm or are sef capitalized can you recommend what is necessary for a proper set up (out side of the pc and monitors) i.e. T1 cable vs dial up etc. As well as any other considerations most ill equipped traders gloss over.

    Thanks

T1 is necessary only if you want symmetrical service with 99.99% SLA. Otherwise, if you don't want to spend 300+ for a T1, get a primary connection (cable or dsl or FIOS) and a backup (cable or dsl or FIOS). Both together would run you less than 100/month. If you can't get 2 of the three, get a cellular wireless toggle that works in you area. Not the best connection but at least you have access in case your primary line goes down.

Can't say enough about getting the proper chair with proper support so you are not sitting there slouching.
