Prop firms in Holland/Amsterdam

Discussion in 'Prop Firms' started by FT79, Apr 5, 2008.

  1. I think Effective is the only one where you will have a 100% deal, with the same rates. They are member of different exchanges! At Intal, Cebulon and wizzards you have to pay a percentage of your profit. You just have to find out which one is the better based on rates/deal/it

  2. Hi,

I have been in contact with Effective Traders about some trading on the Xetra. Does anyone here have any first hand knowledge/experience about the company?

How long have they been in the business?

It all depends on what you want and expect. Making money trading options is hard on Euronext and Eurex if one is trying to trade it marketmaking style. It is very much a tech game. If you are a little it more a positions trader it might work out. Just talk with Intal and Effective an Mwizards, and comapre all costs and benefits. Also have a good look to see if the infrastruture they provide suits your needs and if they can provide you the software you can and want to work with. Also get a good grasp of all tradings costs (clearing fees, exchange fees, software licenses) and make a realistice scenario of what you might turnaround. It's hard but it can be done.

But if your are still young, why not try it at the marketmaking companies that already exist and learn from them...?? Just check out: Optiver, IMC, AllOptions, Saen Options, Tibra and even smaller firms like Scrocca or 323 Trading....

  4. I am a cash product trader at Effective for 3 years now and they are verry relaxed (euronext and Xetra). I have a 100% deal and Im verry happy with the fact that I can trade remote and from their office in Amsterdam. They are member of different (derivatives) exchanges, so it is easy to swich markets!

  6. There is also Van der Moolen in Amsterdam. A true proprietary trading firm - so you trade with the firm`s capital. They have also offices in Cologne, Germany and Zug, Switzerland. If you have any questions, you can contact me, i am a Cologne trader. Experienced traders are always welcome.

  7. ...you should speak german OR english.
It is not necessary to speak german to work in the Van der Moolen offices in Germany or Switzerland!
In Switzerland there is Eurex Desk with market making activites (and other traders who want to benefit from very low taxes there)

    Hello,

I would like to re-open this discussion. Anyone has a good experience with an Amsterdam (or EU) based prop firm that accepts to trade in a partnership like agreement where the trader contributes capital in exchange for leverage?

I have compiled the following list, but only one of them offers this kind of agreement.

    https://marketwizards.com/
    http://www.cebulon.nl/
    https://www.utr8-group.com/
    https://davincitrading.com/
    https://www.nyenburgh.com/ (partnership)
    https://323trading.nl/
    https://www.flowtraders.com/
    https://www.alloptions.nl/

    thanks
