Thank you for your reply's. What do you mean by BDs. brokerage firm? Thank you Stephen P.s i tried looking it up haha
broker-dealer firm and i'm taking the CSC as well, its part of my diploma, plus it breaks the ground on getting other designations. however you wont learn anything from trading from CSC or anything CSI has to offer... maybe its 'trading course' but who knows.
The csi trader training course doesn't teach you to trade either - its a regulatory course. You need the TTC to register as a trader (sell side execution/sales or rdt/specialist) with a Canadian Broker/Dealer. Wouldn't recommend taking it until needed. Unfortunately I think the only csi course that would actually teach any 'shorter term trading' techniques is the Technical Analysis Course - but haven't taken it so don't really have an opinion. Most their courses for investing deal with longer term investment/portfolio management.
Spicy, would appreciate PM on any info about anything you can share. I'm van based as well. sbn, I'm not at liberty to discuss the inner workings of what happened, but long story short, they switched to a new trading instrument that didn't pan out in the long run.
Hey guys, I'm going to to throw this question out there. would any be interested in sharing there knowledge/mentoring a 19 year old trying to get his feet wet in the market? I am quick and have a passion for knowledge. Thank you Stephen P.s I live Kitsilano and have transpiration.
For all those who trade from Vancouver...I will be moving there later on the year from the US, I've been prop trading for 10 years and will like to know how is trading taxed in BC. Spicy, would you share any insights on this topic. I tried to PM you but it seems this feature has not been enabled on your profile.
