Prop firm that trades thru Interactive Brokers?

  1. What makes you think that a very conservative firm like IB that eliminates high day margins(50% of overnight margins) when the market gets volatile ,will accomodate a leveraged prop firm ?!

  2. Their website suggests they cater to prop firms... Chances are margin ratios would be more favorable for institutional clients.

Wanting to know who those prop firms are...

  3. with the portfolio margin one should be getting close to 6:1 on equities regardless whether day or overnight. i could be wrong, though.

    portfolio margin requires 100K account.

  4. Exactly why a prop using IB would be helpful... Folks over at IB wouldnt give details on clients...

    Anyone?

  7. They don't offer extended margining to pro traders, there is no difference between you trading retail there or pro.

Frankly from the standpoint of safety you are probably safer with your money there than somewhere else.
