There are many studies showing that masks and mask mandates stop COVID spread. Here is a small selection of the large number of available studies showing the effectiveness of masks in reducing the spread of COVID.

Mask adherence and rate of COVID-19 across the United States
For every 1% increase in average mask adherence, the odds of a high COVID-19 case rate decreased by 26%.

A powerful argument for wearing a mask, in visual form
Real-time pandemic data paints a vivid picture of the relationship between mask-wearing and the prevalence of covid-19 symptoms

Before I decide I'd like to see the science (show me the science!) on painters, welders, and surgeons who don't wear masks.

There might be science supporting it. Might be science not supporting it (there is, on both accounts). The problem is that real world results don't seem to differentiate between mandates and no mandates. The virus just does what viruses do.

I've got dozens of real world examples.

As for painters and welders, I'm not sure those two groups have been examined for the spread of pathogens.

Once again let's take a look at how Facebook and Twitter are flagging the fabricated charts posted by Tsing Tao. It is tagged as FALSE INFORMATION. One example below.

Fact check: Mask mandates are not causing a spike in COVID-19 infections

True! Particles with a diameter of >60nm do not pass through holes <60nm diameter.

    Completely agree.

Though the reasons why mask mandates don't work is because:

    1. Not everyone follows them.
    2. People use "masks" that have holes much bigger than 60nm.

Without near 100% compliance on both of the above, mask mandates are worthless. As I have been saying from the start.

If you wrapped everyone in a space suit 100% of the time, no one would get sick. The more down the arrow of secure you go on that application, the higher the ineffectiveness.

"Near 100%" and "worthless" suggest you could accept there is actually a spectrum of efficacy.

There is no question there is a spectrum of efficacy. But it is not linear.

Unfortunately, no one has solved this. no one. no country, no state.

Lab tests are not how masks work in real life.

If you read the tests... you see they admit either they saw the airstreams going around the mask or they actually found that the pathogens collected on the outside of the mask.

Now if any of you wear glasses you know with almost all masks it works like this... you breathe around the mask and your glasses got fogged... or you are wearing a masks that fits really well and you take it off all the time because you are not getting enough oxygen.

In my experience The better the mask is at filtering the more you have to breathe around it.

So yeah... some of you mask nazis... may actually starve your brain...
But.. we all see most people adjusting their masks all the time unless they are wearing crappy masks which let the air through.
