Progressive Stupidty

Discussion in 'Politics' started by Tsing Tao, Jan 4, 2021.

  1. Dems allowed about 0.6% of the population to dominate their platform and alienate perhaps the other 98%....

All dems had to do is simply support equal rights and non discrimination which is a right for all people....the bathroom and sport's team issue does not go over with a huge majority of people from both parties.... oh well live and learn.

    AI Overview

Yes, female crash test dummies are different from male crash test dummies:

    Size
The first female crash test dummy was introduced in 1966, but it was a scaled-down version of the male dummy. The current female dummy represents the smallest 5% of women.

    Features
Newer female crash test dummies have features that more accurately model the female body, such as breasts, a female pelvic bone, and more sensors.

    Purpose
Crash test dummies are used in auto safety testing to represent human populations. The goal is to have an inclusive assessment of occupant protection, which means that both males and females should be equally represented.

    Injury tolerance
Women are more likely to die or be injured in a crash than men. This may be because crash test dummies have been based on the average male body, which doesn't model female-typical injury tolerance, biomechanics, and other characteristics.

Some examples of female crash test dummies include:

    THOR-5F
A more advanced dummy that's similar in size and weight to the current dummy, but has features of female anatomy. It's currently undergoing testing at NHTSA.

Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute (VTI) dummy
A new dummy that's 5'3" and weighs 97 pounds. It's designed to more accurately mimic the average female body.

This the same AI that showed that George Washington and all the founding fathers were black?

It's not that "female crash dummies" need to be added with "male crash dummies", its that "MALE CRASH DUMMIES DONT EXIST"

It's a DUMMY. It's not a male OR a female. If you want to adjust the metrics of the crash dummy to do something you're suggesting it might help with (which isn't at all proven) then do it. But get off the "male vs. female" dummy progressive bullshit. And make the car manufacturers do it, don't use Tax Dollars to push it and don't quote that it will help with Gender InEquality. Laugh.

Like the "female" crash dummy that was just a scaled down version of the "male" dummy introduced back in 1966 (your woke AI response).

Mannequins can be referred to as male or female - not because they are male or female, but because they model clothes that are designed for males and females.

Okay, prove to me the engineering is not different between the two models.

Its not a question about whether the engineering is different. I'm sure you can make child crash dummies, or pet crash dummies, or alien crash dummies.

It's a question as to whether there is a benefit, and if there is, whether that benefit is "advancing gender equality", or some other idiot claim.

I would think automakers spend the money on such engineering (and the child crash test dummies are not merely "can" be built, but are built), for safety and ultimately liability reasons. Much ado about nothing for this particular issue.

Oh, I think we understand that you don't believe a sitting congressman talking about spending money on crash dummies for the purposes of "gender equality" is an issue. But many of us see this as an example of the latest progressive stupidty [sic].

  9. The male test dummies now identify as female. Problem solved.

Are you agreeing with the AI that there are biological differences between men and women?

  10. Recovering democrats said the following about the dem party:
    • Compared to an ostrich:
      • "Heads in the sand"
      • "Committed to own ideas, even when failing"
    • Compared to a koala:
      • "Complacent and lazy"
      • "Not proactive in achieving needed policy wins"
    • Criticism:
      • "Not a friend of the working class anymore"
Voters think that the dems are idiots, lazy, and are elitist that don't give a shit about the working class.

‘Complacent and lazy’: New focus groups spell big problems for Democrats
Even voters who previously backed Democrats cast the party as weak and overly focused on diversity and elites.

When asked to compare the Democratic Party to an animal, one participant compared the party to an ostrich because “they’ve got their heads in the sand and are absolutely committed to their own ideas, even when they’re failing.” Another likened them to koalas, who “are complacent and lazy about getting policy wins that we really need.” Democrats, another said, are “not a friend of the working class anymore.”

The focus group research, shared first with POLITICO, represents the latest troubling pulse check for a party still sorting through the wreckage of its November losses and looking for a path to rebuild. Without a clear party leader and with losses across nearly every demographic in November, Democrats are walking into a second Trump presidency without a unified strategy to improve their electoral prospects. And while some Democrats blame Biden, others blame inflation and still others blame “losing hold of culture,” the feedback from the focus groups found Democrats’ problems are even more widespread and potentially long-lasting than a single election cycle.
