It doesn't matter how common it is in the real world, it only matters how common it is perceived to be. Democrats chose to rally behind this flag, that was the error. Instead of saying "this is a percent of a percent of a percent" like you're saying, they said "this should continue".
I don't disagree. But we're discussing this lunatic trans issue - which, by the way, runs even stronger "Against" in the so-called "working class" that democrats have lost.
You can make whatever argument you want. I'm not here to say otherwise. All I'm showing you is that the majority of people would disagree with that statement, and that moved the needle.
I'm not defending it so much as dismissing it, because the ball I have my eye on is the economy, which is a clear favorite issue. Hence, my thread asking Trump to enact his economics.
Ok, but again, then you're actually agreeing it moved the needle? Because no one here, least of all me, is saying the economy isn't the most important issue. All I'm saying is that this affected the electorate's decision making, and there is literally no upside to being pro-gender alterations for children.
Yes the trans issue takes up space in the political discourse that could or would be filled with issues like workplace safety, overtime, minimum wage, etc which is what people actually care about. What I will add to this is a lot of the trans issue discourse has been pushed by Pelosi and Occasio-Cortez on the left. And they ironically are the ones who were pushing out Biden, who is actually an old school working class type democrat. The buy American and union participation in government contracts is stronger than ever under Biden.
