Programming the IB API

1) How can I set a default for an order that goes that is executed through the API to be "execution during market hours only"


also is programming this damn API hard?

do you use the IB API.

I was kinda hoping there would be a very easy way to change this. I use a 3rd party software Ninja Trader that reads my Tradestation code and sends the order to IB.

I'd have to learn a TON of stuff again, and re program everything

 

Can't help you with the programming. But you might try ButtonTrader. www.buttontrader.com There's a check box for that.
