I got a cheap Amazon programable key set with 6 keys. Then I went to hook up some macros. In order to get the driver you had to download it from a Chinese server. Then once you installed it, it insisted it had to be CONNECTED to the server! Of course that was a NO GO.

I left these notes on the amazon review.

Consider a xbox controller with reWASD add on. The add on is solid. The controller (pro) model is business grade. This is what I settled upon after trying various keyboard solutions.

Thanks for sharing this. There are many 'no name' programmable keypads, but the software is a big part of it. Also whether there is a user community that is building enhancements via plugins, such as with Stream Deck. So all these keypads that aren't mass market as far as keypads go, are of little interest - either software I can't trust and/or poorly designed or lack of user community that is enhancing the product.

If Elgato made an ergonomic Stream Deck with traders or gamers in mind, that would be killer. The existing Stream Deck designs are clearly not intended for someone to leave their hand resting on the device.

  4. Hi, you can use any keyboard as long as you set macros for it. You just have to know the combination of keys that your trading software uses to trigger trades in order to set those macros.

There is a big community around custom keyboard building.
