Prof, did you take the long os around 10:43-46? I did not because the longer chart was still very negative and against breach. Wondered your opinion. Thanks

  3. Long term I'm still short off the 823543 chart so trading against that makes for a bad distraction.

You saw the short I posted earlier. Next short off 824.25 and now short off 819.75.

Targets to the dowside are 800.50, 797.50 & finally 739.00. Until Support creates a failure, strength is still down.

  4. We had a failure at 818.50 but it didn't hold. this is why trading a PPF toward a Breach is so safe.

  5. ProfLogic,

Have you posted how to determine the best volume bar for any given market?

I know you mentioned you use 16807 volume bars on the ES, and out of curiosity, I put 16807 volume bars up for the ZN and found that it worked fairly well. I didn't want to mess to much with it until I received clarification. If you've beat this question to death elsewhere, let me know.

    Regards,

    John

  6. An easy answer is better than searching sometimes. :D

To be honest, picking the right increment is the only part of what I do that one could consider, "art". My philosophy is that, "if it looks good (meaning that once the indicator is applied, if the oscillations are smooth and clear) watch it and trade the crap out of it.
I call it the "Buffet Mentality", as you walk through the buffet line you won't put anything on your plate that doesn't LOOK GOOD. Tasting it or trading it is the next step but with my increments, 95% of the time if an increment looks good it usually is.

  7. One thing you will find as well is that the longer the term of the chart the smoother the oscillations and the easier it is to trade it. The longer term charts naturally filter the noise that Intraday charts create.

  8. I had your first trade, but missed the others - maybe you could post another chart, or quick explanation, EOD?

  9. First I want to mention that if El Guapo wishes me to not answer questions in this thread, let me know and I'll stop. I in no way meant to monopolize the thread, only to honestly answer the questions regarding my method.

El Guapo, if you prefer me to start another thread, please let me know.

These forums are so nice because they allow interaction between all individuals,. pro & con and it gives a forum to address any misconceptions as well. If those would be better addressed in a different forum, I will submit to that decision.
