ProfLogic's Method

  1. As a caveat I don't trade the Proflogic method myself but have followed it for awhile and would like to a find a way to trade the method. The firm I work for has very restrictive trading requirements since the firm has stock and bond funds in addition to owning commercial real estate (which is the area I work in). Having said that I turned a friend onto the method a long time ago. He has put a lot of work into understanding the method better and has been trading it for the last several months. Of course with any method there has been a learning curve for him to understand everything and to eliminate the mistakes he might make. At first the method seemed confusing to him but after working at it he realized how simplistic and objective it really was. Like any trading method or just trading in general I would imagine the success rate is low but that is not necessarily the method. We all know the success rate for traders is very low and most people want instant results and won't put the time into learning the method properly. If anyone is looking for instant success from any trading method then you are in the wrong business because it does not happen.

Now as far as my friend's results go when I talked to him he was running 75%-80% winning trades. His days can vary from losing 2 or 3 points to making 20 points in the ES trading intraday. He does not catch every big move of the day (which is the hardest part for him) but he is working on taking more aggressive trades in addition to the conservative safe trades as he learns the method better and internalizes everything. I just wanted to give some positive feedback on the results from the method. The thing to remember is like anything it takes work to learn and become consistent with it. If you think about it though what skill can one obtain and become proficient at without putting the work into. If you relate it to playing the guitar you can have a teacher show you the exact objective method on how to play but you still have to practice in order to internalize how to play. Even with practice only a certain percentage of people will be successful at playing guitar at a high level. This trading method can be traded completely objective but will take work. However once that skill is learned the upside can be large. Hopefully that helps those who might have doubted the success of the method.

If you have looked at the market long enough, you will realize most profitable trades are based on 2 simple principles:

    1. Buy Higher Lows
    2. Sell Lower Highs

The difference between System "A" and System "B" is on the method of filtering the noise to arrive at the above observation.

  3. Here's the cleaned up NT ergodic code I've been using.

If you find it useful, two requests:

    Post any improvements, modifications, etc.

Contribute to the discussion of actual tades and trading techniques using this method, or variants thereof. (This was the op's intent, not a discussion of the validity of the method.)

    Read page 10 yet?

You mean "few" as in less than 5 rules or "few" as in less than 100,000 lines of code?

    My opinion:

1-Someone gives freely something without asking anything in return except some NORMAL respect anyone would give to ANY fellow man in real life.
2-He gets attacked for giving something free, but keeps helping those who ask nicely.
3-He gets attacked more and, almost put on defense. (For giving something free???).
4-He eventually moves on and loses the need to help others in this environment, that only drains time and mental resources.

Seen it all over the internet. What a waste. Moderators are there for a reason, which they don't enforce. etc.

Prof: A suggestion: Some responses do not even merit an answer. Keep helping those who work to help themselves.

    You want testimonial proof?. HERE:

I'm making small (huge in %return over risk capital) amounts of money with the use of Prof's methods combined with other old "stuff" of mine applied manually. I do not fully understand the method yet, but I WILL.

I'm working to program a system that will make money automatically for me with an employee supervising that the computer runs, that internet works, etc, etc while I live the high life spending the money that a machine makes for me. (Am I there yet?. NO. But I WILL.).

Don't ask for my other "stuff" (or for $1M donations...!), because I'm not as generous as ProfLogic. and frankly if you want my other opinion, you don't deserve the help either. Geez, talk about looking a gift horse in the mouth...

What a waste of MY TIME making this post...over and out!

  5. Simply well stated.

Devil is in the environment . . . not the details.

  6. I do not know who you are talking about but tell him to email me and I'll sit with him on SKYPE and iron some questions out for him. The 75%-80% is typical but we need to eliminate the loosing days. Loosing trades are normal they just don't need to occur regularly.
