    Can you post a chart? This is what I have for the ES, not sure if this is setup correctly. Would appreciate any insight...

  2. I'll post a 2401 for Scaramanga in a few minutes. I'm having charting issues currently.

    Your chart looks ok except that my histogram is setup to show the oscillation tops and bottoms. You will see that when I post a chart. You have a nice clean chart though.

  3. The Ergodic always works well. That is the beauty of it. Your results have to be a problem on your end. Here is a view of my 2401 for the week.

  4. OK I think my problem is that I wasn't looking at the big picture. What looked like an uptrend was a dip in a bigger uptrend. But it's also true that ProfLogic's ergodic provides signals much sooner and better than mine. Are you still using the 49,147,49 setting?

  5. Yes, those will never change.

  6. SWING TRADE RESULTS
    Week of December 15th, 2008

    These are the current Swing and Fast Swing Trades setting up in the following charts. Pull up the charts and read the oscillations for fine tuning your entry. These may not match your charts due to data idiosyncracies, data holes and data providers. Trade your own charts and what they each are telling you.

    These do not constitute buy or sell recommendations, these are simply the rants of a delusional individual that watches the absolute oscillations of price inside these non-variable chart increments for unbelievable consistency in their movements.

    Legend:
    PF = Price Failure
    HO = Histogram Oscillation
    O = Open
    NIP = Not in Prime (Extreme Level)
    ^ - Long
    v – Short

    63 - Total Set-ups
    12 - 10 Negated & 2 unused (#F)

  7. Dear Professor
    I have earlier studied your threads on volume charts and currently using Volume charts as my principal trading chart.
    Since I have no futures a/c ,I trade mainly ETF's and option on SPY,DIA.
    In quotetracker ( I trade thro it and never open the browser) there is no Histogram for the Ergodic / Ergodic Oscillator/TSI.
    I mainly use CCI Histogram on volume charts. ( I have on the background Range ,PNF and minute charts just in case)
    I normally daytrade ETF/Inverse ETF side by side.
    (I dont short but will long the Inverse ETF)
    Current favourites are
    DIG/DUG (Double oil stocks ETF)
    ERX/ERY (Triple leveraged Oil stocks ETF)
    FAS/FAZ (Triple leveraged Financials ETF)
    TNA/TZA (Triple Russel 2000 ETF)
    This is the 1st time Iam putting Ergodic in volume chart.
    Volume for indivual stocks vary. For example I use 1 to 1.5 million volume for SPY to trade options.
    Depending the average volume I choose the volume setting for indivual stock so that noise is reduced. Iam enclosing a DIA chart with a volume setting for 2 day chart and a 1 day chart.
    I thank you for sharing your wisdom to give us confidence. I can see Ergodic in a higher volume setting gives the trend in progress!
    I shall post in future my success rate!
    Note :Other QT users kindly offer suggestions in implementing Ergodic for QT.

  9. Too many indicators. My brain hurts.

    #209     Dec 21, 2008
  10. OK I have posted the chart with out OBV and all kind of top indicators. But I can not live with out CCI histogram in the bottom.
    I dont need moving averages,BB etc but I do need Demark Pivots (H,L), Volume by Price Mid (changes during the day ) and yesterday's Vbp mid extn (Constant ) and some more horizontal lines to pick bottoms /top apart from constant volume bar price action.
    CCI histogram red/ green keeps me in the right direction Long/ Short.
    I infer that Ergodic below Zero or above Zero keeps us with a Short/Long bias and hooks from extreme 50/-50 (as per QT)
    provides trade oppurtunities.
