  1. It isn't two separate sell signals. The two arrows designate a reversal not a trade taken from a flat position.

  2. Absolutely drives some people nuts when someone figures something out that someone else has difficulty with.

Calculus absolutely drove me nuts in college but I finally got a handle on it. (Though I never use it anymore) I never went around telling those that could easily figure it out that they were delusional, I simply worked at getting to a point where I could see what they saw.

Now I know not everyone can be proficient at calculus but then again I can't do brain surgery, pilot a rocket, run a DNA research facility, do cold fusion or split atoms . . . but I know it is possible.

  4. We are doing well in this thread simply sharing information and doing so without the need to flame or post unsubstantiated statements but if you absolutely feel the need to so, then that is entirely up to you. It is a free country to act in whatever manner you choose.

There is nothing going on here but people sharing information. If you feel threatened by that please inform Baron or the monitor of your opinion. You have that right. If you don't like the smell of this thread, go somewhere else. Tums is monitoring this forum and the PM's quite well and unless I'm mistaken, is more than capable of handling the job all by himself.

The complain and ignore buttons are there for a reason.

Great trading to you as well and a Merry Christmas to you and your family.

  5. PM him and see if he will share his settings with you. The parameters of the specific ERG I use is listed many places in these pages. I don't use Ninja so I don't have that ERG.

  6. It seems this thread is a sort of private consultation with you, ProflLogic and El Guapo: he is not the creator the that ERG... your code is hidden, too but the settings are those published here, @ ET (see a previous post). So, all in all, we have settings for code that is not available...or using ninjaforum codes which are not the same. Am I missing something?

So do I have this right .... the Prime Oscillations are built off 343V (shown in the chart), while the Trading Oscillations are built off 49V. But for the purposes of scalping, you are ignoring the Prime Oscillations?

  8. What is private about it?

If you have a question I can answer . . . I will answer it.

I have the programmers code I use for MultiCharts and Tradestation because; one is a program I use for trading and one is the code I was given from a user. I share both when asked. I don't have the Ergodic for other programs simply because I don't have a need to have them. I don't use those other programs for trading I use MultiCharts.

El Guapo was intelligent enough to take the information from what was given in the other thread to reproduce my ERG in whatever program he uses. If you can't do that, I'm sorry but I can't help you because I don't use the program he uses or for that matter even know who he/she is. You can ask him to share what he has if he wants to. I sure can't force him to share it.

I'm working on a couple people to create my ERG for eSignal and Sierra and if and when they get it done I will share it as well but I can't offer it, if it doesn't exist yet.

JAO - Patience is something I find few traders possess.

  9. Not to jump in here, but the formula is in Blau's book. It is easy to code it for your particular platform.

  10. Every market is unique because of the unique liquidity attributed to each of them.

The ES, as a specific example for scalping, simple uses the strength of a slower chart (ERG direction) as a directional decision indicator and the Prime Histogram oscillations from the fast chart as the trigger to put the trade into the direction of the short term strength from the slower chart. Prime oscillations are present in ever chart environment I create. On some fast charts, the Prime Oscillations occur so often and quick that they create too much noise to be useful.

To clarify, I'm not a scalper, I prefer Swing Trading but simply reading every oscillation from any non-variable based chart, regardless of speed, is essentially the same. The slower the increment one trades from, the less noise is present in those charts and the less stress is associated with trading inside those environments. Once you learn to read price just from sequential oscillations, some trades decisions become really simply and some become more complicated. A trader then needs to make the decision whether to trade from the clear simply oscillations or to purposely complicate their decision making process. El G seeming has figured out in a short period of time what he personally likes is trading with less noise. The key is, HE had to watch the chart so HE could figure that our on HIS own. HE verified that HIMSELF not from anyone telling him that is what he should do. We learned from our experiences. If we see consistency then we learn to trust that once we see it repeatedly work with a high probability of success.
Someone, including me, that just says it works is totally worthless and meaningless unless one can verify it on their own.
