  1. My experience with CFTC is that these people are not that eager to intervene at all. I once informed them about some scumbag selling pure crap and he is still doing it many months after my complaint with them.

  2. Well, why is prof postings this than:"The Website is closed. I don't advertise. I'm not selling anything."

Because only track records that can be audited are accepted by the CFTC. When i rtegistered as CTA and gave my disclosure documents to the CFTC i had to remove ALL the hypothetical returns and replace them by real returns that could be audited.

  4. WTF is going on here? Did you not see my post... Come on. If you didn't subscribe then what are people raging about. Nobody has twisted anyone's arm to subscribe, not a single person. I cleanly put out exactly how I apply Profs definitions and yet the statement is made that not a single person understands what he does. The majority of the posts in this thread are uncalled for. How is it that before I even knew who Prof was, that I had searched and found several charts and then just simply applied what he purports about the consistency within the price action. What is required is some effort. Nothing comes simply and that's not because of a set rules but more so because of one's mental orientation and trading experiences.

Also Prof is in Asia, he mentions this in his previous post, it is well after midnight where he is. He said he was going to bed. Why would he still be trading... If people start asking more constructive Q's, I am sure that Prof would be more than happy to answer. I could go in to detail about a great many things but it is not my place. Constructive non detracting Q's will get constructive responses. Critical detractive posts will not achieve anything. Many are demanding an awful lot for something that they are not obligated to have answers for. What gives here? This slandering is pointless and actually discouraging that which you are actually seeking (ie. answers).

Nonetheless, Kindest and Sincerest Regards to ALL!

ET does not take lightly to vendors and they are exposed very quickly in here.

Prof says he is not a vendor and that's fine but he did take money from people in the past so he should be accountable for that.

If he is not doing it anymore then he will have no problems in here in the future.

Personally I like him (even if he is arrogant) :p

This forum ET was originally designed for traders to help each other and that means protect each other from con men and scams.

Prof may not fall into that catagory if he is truly trying to help people and that's fine but he put himself out there when he charged money in the past and he says he is correcting that so he won't get anymore of this if he is honest.

  6. Makosgu,

This is what i asked in the FIRST posting i ever addressed to Proflogic: 05-16-05 05:59 PM
    Proflogic,

Is there are track record that can be audited?

Trading "in theorie" is useless and uncontrolable.
Am i right that none of the trades on your website are real but they are all simulated?

    And this was his answer:
The trades on the site are tracked on the site and the triggers are perfectly consistent. Wanna swap trades in realtime? Loser sucks the flagpole at the courthouse in Juneau, Alaska on Christmas Day? Specific rule based trading is useful and perfectly controllable. Perfectly trackable as well with perfect consistency.

It's spelled "theory" and "uncontrollable" too.

No further comments necessary I think.

  7. Makosgu,

"Also Prof is in Asia, he mentions this in his previous post, it is well after midnight where he is. He said he was going to bed. Why would he still be trading... "

The previous days he was also in Asia. The previous year he also slept at night. But he registered all the trades 24 hours a day.
Which confirms that it has nothing to do with real time posting.

What do you expect? This is an open public forum with a wide spectrum of participants, from serious pro's to teenagers. This is what I find somewhat odd, the "professor" has a proprietary, patented methodology yet he hangs out on a forum such as this throwing out little tidbits of his methodology under the pretence that he just want's to help the little people, yet he has a website that is obviously promoting something. It doesn't sound truly closed, I bet the folks paying to attend his seminar are getting continued access. My opinion is that his post are promotional and he therefore has opened himself up to whatever the public has to offer.
