When I said work hard, I should say that needs to include work smarter. If you do the same thing day after day and do not progress or learn a process to be consistent, you are just bangging your head against the wall. That can be hard work but not effective or helpful. I do not think it requires thousands of hours to learn a process to make money. I do think that is where the mentoring groups help, but you can't expect to just copy and hold your hand out. You need to learn what works for you, then move on.
I am still having issues for trading a swing trade vs a scalp trade, but one of my other issues is that if I did good the night before, I would not trade in the morning and if I did bad, I would trade in the morning. So obviously, the issue with this is that you can end up having a bigger loss than gain by doing this. So I forced myself to trade again this morning after doing good the nite before, and the trade worked out. I did not give it enough room to run a little more which I should have but at least I got in on a limit order and out on a target.
