All roads lead to Anaheim this weekend - stop by and make the most of a power-packed agenda here at the Tour!

The luxurious setting here at the Hilton is unmistakably California cool!

....see some Trader Babes already checking in..... :D

  2. OK, Seisan, you've done a great job helping to promote the show, now get down here so all the ET'ers can pound on you
!!!! Not to worry, we're getting all set up......even have my wireless web working in the ballroom... Getting back to setting up, and we are accepting people at the door, non pre-registered.

  3. One last thing, sorry, we added Online Trading Academy for you retail type traders, and unfortunately, John Person won't be able to make it.

(Again, sorry for the continuing posting, we're about done)

  5. Gosh wow! What a surprise that is! :D

In all seriousness -- inandlong, please pay attention :) -- I would like to throw some (much needed) vinigar on the hoopla surrounding this event.

Professional roadshow is a better description, I would think. Especially when you consider that, no matter how good a trader each of these presenters claims to be, not one of them makes their living solely from trading, and I would guess that not even the greater proportion of it. Something to consider.

Of course, you might point to, as some have, the amazingly low cost of attendance. Wow, $99 to hear all these "professionals" teach you the secrets of their success -- just goes to show what great folks and what great traders they are, they don't even need your money. :) Truth is, it's precisely this "low price" that should be the first warning. It's a common strategy of the professional "get rich" seminar crowd; entice the unsuspecting would be aristocrat with a free or low cost "information evening", in which they'll be "introduced" to the secret strategies that will make them millionaires and then slam them with the real reason you've got them there -- to sell them your wares. Pretty simple, VERY effective.

    Just a counterpoint.

Alphonso, you sound like a skeptic -
just like Don and Bob Bright,
and ALL of the other traders I know! :D

Alphonso, I'm just a little skeptical myself
as to the day-in and day-out efficacy of
    these so-called "black boxes".

What say we meet up at the Tour today
and really grill these presenters.

I might even have an extra Trader Babe with me! :D

Just check out the outrageous color SHOUT post here
for location so you can hurry on down to the show!

Less than three hours 'til opening bell... :)

  8. Hey, I think these roadshows are good for the industry! More newbies to take the other side of my trades! Bring 'em on! :D

  9. Hehe, you're skeptical? Lol. Nice one! :)

I'll have to give this one a miss, seisan, but I'll let you do the grilling for me. (Btw, I never said these guys weren't as sharp as a tack -- I'm sure they know all the right answers :))

Goldenarm, no doubt they're good for the industry -- question is, which industry? :)

Presenters, never fear; I read a study somewhere once about the effect of negative feedback in the presence of great desire to believe -- you can guess the conclusions. :)

  10. They're good for the entire daytrading industry. A continual supply of fresh newbies keeps the prop firms in business and helps lower costs for experienced traders. Plus, the influx of "dumb" money ensures profit opportunities (not to mention commission overrides) for veterans.

It's a harsh Darwinian reality, but it makes economic sense for us to support these travelling snake oil tours, as tacky as they may be. Don and his supporters have successfully applied the multi-level marketing model to daytrading. It's like Amway meets Boiler Room! :p
