Hi TP yes I do pay a lot commissions, but from here to trade in USA would cost me +/- â¬25 (around $33) now I pay $9.99 so as you can see I am very happy.... When I first look into opening a USA account ETrade was the only one that would open me an account, for not resident.... as I had an Etrade account (open in Europe) I suppose it was easier to get the USA. Few years ago when other brokers allowed opening Acc, to non resident and looked into it.... I still prefer the Etrade platform etc..... From here if we have trading or account problem I found Etrade support very helpful and prompt in solving problem where other weren't very efficient..... to me that is as important as maybe paying $1 less in commission .... but that is my own opinion. I like to add that if I am happy with something why changing? btw I am more as a scalper & day trader (I found much easier on the USA market)with some swing ... My other investment or long hold I do it from here.
I dont know where your residence is. But Interactive brokers is all over the world and you should be able to open an account quite easily. .005 cents per share, you can use esignal with them as well. After trading 15 years you are probably pretty established so you might not be interested in extra leverage, if u want leverage you can check out Nevis trading.
