At this point i have doubts that DH is a profesional trader but that doesnt mean(to me) DH is not a good trader, dear ones. Maybe. I could be wrong, but it looks like DH is a profesional working with Internet click ad campaigns. Trading may be an avocation for him. An important one to him at that. cheers
I have a biological science background. Economics courses in college are as much formal financial exposure as I have had.
actually I was more interested in the 2nd part of my question...do you use delta's to hedge and in what ratio? thanks
I don't calculate deltas to hedge. Unless expiration is far away, I'm usually hedging the position completely. I suppose that is taking delta into consideration in a way.
Targets - already answered this I believe. I don't have formal price targets. Trailing Stops - I've only used them once or twice I think as far as I can remember. And actually in those instances I think I benefited from them.
I see now why you keep coming back to this question. If you google my username, you find someone else with the same username in another forum. I find this more than a coincidence as well, but that is not me and I don't know why they have the exact same username. If you google my username, the ET is me as well as Mike's website. The financevisor and SEO, I do not know what those are. All I can say is that I've been on ET since 2002 and have only had a similar username in Mike Morgan's website on a few posts. I chose this username, because in trading I've always found discipline and hedging to be important.
DH, Thanks for the discussions. Any pointers on learning to read the tape and internals? I found alot of time gauging the buying and selling and let the market dictates my entries and exit without hopes often lead to relatively small "sure" profits in ES... sometimes it does allow for a better run but not as often as I would like... maybe it's the summer... still experimenting this type of trading.
