I sure do appreciate everyone's advice here. When I ran my company I was always being told (by men) that what I wanted to do couldn't be done. Guess what, I figured out a way to do it!

I am very driven and determined and am used to trying to defy the odds. There was nothing easy about starting a company and there is nothing easy about learning to trade. I succeeded in the first and hope to succeed in the latter.

I realize you are all giving me realistic advice and that most traders fail, but you must admit some do succeed. In fact, I hope that all of you are successful traders who defied the odds!! Maybe I will be one too.

  2. OP, seriously, the ES is arguably the one of the most difficult instruments to trade. The professionals thrive off the amateurs taking every cent they have.

You might be better served cutting your teeth on something that trends more and oscilates less; a thinner market albeit one that is played by the amateurs like yourself.

  3. Well the fact he didn't blindly follow Jack Hershey into financial ruin like a drooling moron as you did is a good start.

  4. I got news for you lady. No one makes money trading es. No one on the retail side and I can
prove it to you. Ask any of these volunteering assclowns for audit of their statements for an absulute minimum of 5 years. I assure you not one will comply. Trading the es is akin to gambling. Be extremely cautious with the gamblers who will respond to you as therE is no edge available.

  5. Bottom line is the professionals are not retail. Retail is the promised losers. The unavailability of audited statements is the proof. Also mentally Ill is attracted to es. Be careful!

  6. you won't get it if you pay for it either since it can't be taught

post your monthly statements for 5 years. Otherwise this is total bullshit. You simply won't and whine complain and twist words as to why you won't or can't. Or simply go away.

  7. Hello Pastalady,

I too did the same thing about a year ago (although I traded for years before)

Welcome to the adventure. I don't trade the ES very often but NoDoji I think is starting to trade it as well and you may want to contact her. http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?threadid=132626

I believe she and her hubby sold their company not to long ago as well.

Best of luck to you and your trading

    Robert

Thank you for your vote of confidence! It looks like I will have to get there on my own.

I find it so hard to believe that I could be competition to anyone here trading 5-10 contracts.

  10. Robert Weinstein. You seem like a pretty stable fellow. Do you think there is possible to make money daytrading the es for the retail trader? I have never seen it. Have you?
