I am trying to reinstall TWS 4.0 and each time it gives me an error that it is already installed on my system and that I must uninstall first. Well, I went to ADD/REMOVE programs in Windows Control Panel and already removed the program, but I keep getting the error. How can I install this? Has anyone else ever had this problem?
Well, I figured it out. Apparently TWS checks the registry to see if it is still installed. I had to go into the registry and manually delete the TWS entry under the HKEY_LOCAL_GROUP section. Why wouldn't IB just give the user the choice to overwrite a previous installation?? Wouldn't that make more sense?
