Problem recovering my funds from Globus Trading LLC

Discussion in 'Prop Firms' started by traderefe, Oct 5, 2012.

  1. Still no refund of funds, more than a month late.

Alex and Larissa Milrud still acting as ghosts.

Waiting to see what the result of the complaint on the BBB will be.

If it’s a dead end then the Ontario Securities Commission and after that the RCMP antifraud division.

  2. How much was the deposit? You may be better off just hiring a private investigator to find this guy and get your $$ back. The courts consistently throw cases like this out over a matter of semantics or some other bullshit. I have a case against a trader who owes me 8k for about 3 years now and the courts still give me the run-around. Sometimes you gotta go out and get your elbows dirty and get the $$ back yourself.

  3. The problem is that it looks like the firm is going out of business, but trying a small claims before they declare bankruptcy might work. I would not waste money on a detective since I doubt no matter what you do, that you will get your money back. If you were a profitable trader, learn from this lesson and save up some money to go with a legit firm.

  4. you should not wait to complain to the securities commission! BBB is not as useful in finance and will not help your situation.

private investigator....i like that idea there! :p

Seems pretty obvious to me they most likely don't have your money because they lost it and are now panicking much like the other recent firms who collapsed. Usually not a case of running off with the money, but rather they lost the money, probably trading it.

Why you are waiting this long to do any serious action? I'm guessing it's a seriously small amount owed to you. But still, if we allow people to do this in our industry they will continue.

  6. Looks like a Mini-Madoff scam. New traders finance the Milruds life style

  9. File complaints with both the Ontario Securities Commission and the Quebec regulator.

The relevant regulatory term is "unlicensed securities" (which are illegal and can be rescinded).
