Problem recovering my funds from Globus Trading LLC

Discussion in 'Prop Firms' started by traderefe, Oct 5, 2012.

  1. If I had hope that Alex and Larissa Milrud had at least a little spec of decency in them, it’s gone. They shut down their web page and disabled my accounting password.
Turns out the comments at the beginning of the thread pointing out they are criminals are true.

  2. Do you live on freakin' Mars? How can it take this long to realize that the people who have stolen your cash are not decent people.

Take a realistic look at where you stand in this matter, fill out whatever forms you think are justified in terms of how much time they will take -- charging them with fraud, small claims court, gov't guarantees etc. -- and move on. Stop looking for their moral compass. They are history. This is a trade gone bad ... close it out.

  3. Like I said,

Government doesn't really care about your small deposit or that firm. Whether someone wants to accept it or not, all they care about is appeasing the huge banks and firms that donate tons of money to make sure gov't protects them.

Small Claims and other lawsuits are going to cost you more than your deposit (assuming it is 5-10k). If it's cost-effective enough, I would show up at these addresses and locate the people myself. That's really your only hope.

Remember Oliver Velez? Some of his traders are still trying to get their money back through the courts, about 4-5 years after the whole ordeal went down. You have a much better chance of getting your money back if you show up to the guy's front door with a group of other pissed off traders and let him know you aren't going away. Unfortunately, it's a dog-eat-dog world out there and the authorities who should be responsible for this type of stuff just sit on their ass and wait for big banks to throw endless amounts of $$ at them to get anything done.

How about writing it off as a price of trading? Can you use it as a write off against profits? I'm not an accountant. Direct your energies to better tradng, much more rewarding.

    My advice,

Send them registered mail, make sure it is their house, or if nearby pretend to be a courier delivering a letter. Then return at night and cause damage. This might make you feel better, however it still won't yield you any money.

I remember a decade or so ago, a car dealer (here in Thornhill) I knew was screwing people around. One day, they came to his house late at night poured gas on his cars and lit it up. Amost ignited the whole block on fire, however that's a different ball game with some very serious consequences if caught. Doing damage to his cars without arson, or damaging the house with rocks will unlikely not even instigate an investigation by police.

  7. I definitely would not recommend you do anything as mentioned above. Take it into your own hands and it could be you sitting in jail, would it be worth it?

  8. I agree, Canada is not a third world country. It would be counter productive. I got to go through the legal venues and see if I can get anywere.

  9. no, but he could contact American Greed on cnbc, and ask if they have any other reports. For that matter, almost every reporter on cnbc or Bloomberg has a twitter accout that they make avaliable. Just keep pestering them and telling them your story. Look for a "Report Fraud" hotline. Call the FBI. You just never know, some of them may all be sitting around in a bar one night and somebody mentions Globus Trading and someone says, "Yeah, I heard about them. Can't remember where. We should check them out."

  10. The thing is I'm in Canada not the U.S. so It's a Canadian issue not american. I'm trying to get a toronto and montreal paper interested on the story, but to no avail yet. Also there is a show in Canadian TV caled W5 on CTV im also trying to get them interested.

If other traders also being robbed by Alex and Larissa from Globus Trader would be interested in pursuing this, it would make it more viable.
