I have seen a few that allegedly perform backtesting but they are not; they simulate etc. Anyone knows a good software system to do this? Thanks,
Jahajee, could you please elaborate and tell which software as according to you âstate that they perform back testing and yet do not do soâ?
Sincere apologies for the delay of the answer; I shall discuss the same with Mr. Murray and inform you as soon as possible. Thanks and sorry!
Can someone explain to me the steps involved in testing a trading idea on a portfolio of markets and what the steps are in doing that with TradersStudio as well as other products like Trading Bloxs and Multicharts.
This video is a overview of TradersStudio which is a tutorial on our site. It covers the concept of backtesting a portfiolo http://www.tradersstudio.com/Tutorials/Videos/tabid/167/Default.aspx
Please explain what you mean by alleged back testing, as back testing by definition is a simulation, as seen below: http://www.investopedia.com/articles/trading/05/030205.asp
We have not heard from Gyles for quite sometime. Are there any plans to start a TradersStudio thread for us users where we can share our experiences and also learn to make the best use of TradersStudio?
Moderator's comment: You are welcome to kick off the discussion by starting a thread. If you put "TradersStudio" on the subject line, you will be sure to attract people with this special interest.
