I just had my order (Dec Copper) traded 170 ticks+ above the inside ask.

Does anyone have such experience before? I've never encountered this problem before. Does anyone know what I can do?

I'm trying to contact my broker (IB) now and see what they can do...

It's Comex Dec Copper... happened 8:21:16 today

Yeah I use market orders only. It's a personal preference and I'm ok paying for liquidity.

But this time it goes thru inside ask and if you look at time and sales it all says "above ask"

One execution price I got 3.4815 isn't even showing on the time and sales. I don't know how it got a match

  4. maybe your data feed was slow to get to you?

copper spreads can widen out and market orders can hurt this way

    What the hell???170 ticks???

Are you sure you weren't on another month or some kind of error?

Did your trade appear on the T§S?

Yeah it's the correct contract. It shoots way thru the ask damn it.

I think I don't have your trade on my T§S . Just a couple 3.4265 at bid. Is that the price you got??

Why would this happen though? Did market makers take their orders out from the book at light speed all at the same time or something else?
