Even though I think the US wall idea is dumb. It's purpose is to keep people out, not lock them in. Complete opposite. People try to get in the US and tried to flee from East to West Germany because of the economic freedom that resulted in better opportunities and life standards. But nice try. You're delusional or just trolling.
“Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all those other forms that have been tried from time to time." - Churchill
I must be getting old, it seems just like yesterday, when everyone seemed so sure the capitalist system in the western world just had to win, the middle working class could only go up up up with wages, and life would only get better for westerners. Only in the eastern world could things go to shit...and we would never let them get the best of us, remember those days?
Only when governments around the world lose the monopoly over money, will there be true capitalism. So long as they have this monopoly, they have enough power to regulate, tax, impose tariffs and even wage wars between them very similarly to mafia disputes) and do all kinds of crap that fuck up the market(in other words, that is not true capitalism). And when things go to shit because of all that, they can still print money to pay for it, always at the cost of its people.
you don't quite understand what capitalism is, do you? You're talking about anarchy (a self regulated population free of government). The most capitalistic people I've ever encountered are the Chinese. Work hard and sacrifice to become wealthy, wealth is power, power is domination.
Actually, you are the one that don't understand what capitalism is. True capitalism can only happen in a free market, otherwise all you get is "crony capitalism", with government sticking it's rotten finger in everything, always at the expense of the people. But I wouldn't expect someone like you(seeing your posting history) to understand something like this. Looking at your posting, you are just another useful idiot who begs for big brother to regulate increasingly more and more aspects of your life. You are the one bringing anarchy to the discussion. All I said is that the monopoly of money helps government to keep it's power no matter how frequently or how intensely it fucks up. Not only keep it's power in this scenario, but also expand it. Government can still exist, even without having the monopoly of money. Personally, the day that monopoly ends, my opinion is that society will tend towards anarchocapitalism(which I think it would be great), but that will not necessarily be the case. The difference is that the government will have less power and more incentive to not fuck everything up and begin to actually have an incentive to do something to benefit it's people. Something similar (but not identical) to Lichtenstein 's political system.
