i noticed today that the silver price rose by nearly five percent. i was just wondering if anyone knew why. i assume it is due to exchange rate alterations. it is worrying whatever it is, the last week or two it has risen rapidly making the view of the economic outlook of the people who know markets look pessimistic. it may be saying something about the economic situation as a whole.

  2. There was a report that the Chinese government advised citizens to buy silver bullion as a means of "investing" and "preserving wealth". This story has been circulating for a while and is the supposed dirver behind the pop we've seen from the end of July.
