Thank you jfw. One marker down. Only the 3BR arrows "at the right place" and we'll have the 16a Anek chart. That and a 1' or 5 seconds chart with volume is what Anek looks at. In my opinion it is a great advantage to know what he looks at, and start looking at the same things. The rest is tons of screen time, and reviewing the concepts at AHG document and hopefully it will "click" in the brain one day. No more changing of charts. The same charts, with the same stuff for hundreds of hours, till the charts are part of me. This huge volatility the markets are in now, are a big opportunity for trend catching, and that's what AHG is about. Before I was trying to catch 3 points here, 2 points there, etc. Different market. That's my plan anyway. I tried to modify some older code posted in this thread to generate the 3BR arrows as per 16a, without success. I'll keep at it. Thanks again. shakira
He uses a 10k chart of volume, and a fast 1' or lower with volume for timing. I suppose he also has a daily chart or longer frame chart. The attached is the chart I want to duplicate. shakira
what are those small mini triangles? Are those scalps he makes within the wawes? The blue ones pointing up, red - down.
Those are the 3BR markers that I'm looking to program. They are based on Stealthtrader's 3BRs. A visual aid. shakira
yes, that is a handy one. Are you using the 3BR as an entry? After that 4th bar crosses the high of the 3rd bar, do you place a limit buy in the middle of the 3rd bar? Or do you place a limit buy 1 tick above the 3rd bar after its complition?
I'm re-learning. This volatility is too hard for me, but it seems well suited to AHG's trend catching methods. The limit buy you suggest I understand and is easy enough to execute, the second method you suggest is much harder to execute, because in the good trades that 3rd and 4th bar complete very fast and keep going. In the bad ones you enter at the worst possible moment. shakira
Im posting up my trading chart from yesterday. I am a definite beginner, so any comments/criticism are greatly appreciated! http://uploader.ws/upload/200811/111308.jpg
