Actually, a big part of turning the tide in wwii was putting women to work, a decidedly socialist action. And if it weren't for the socialistic financing (taxation) of a space program, we would not have put a man on the moon even by today. But more importantly, why do countries more socialistic than our own still manage to outperform us in so many measures of human well being?
