Flawed. Nobody ever learns. Not on the left, not on the right. The system is set up that way, and the voting base just gets more and more dumb.
You truly are clueless. The US failed in Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq was a hollow victory. Your chances to occupy a country as large as Canada with a hostile host is essentially zero. I see these bs ideas on here about Canada it's all ridiculous grandstanding on the internet by pathetic turds like yourself. And how ridiculous is it for you to go after friendly allies when there are so many nations that truly hate you. Bottom line your type of thinking is what killed off many a large nation in history, hubris and trying to expand their reach for often stupid reasons. Canada doesn't exist because of the US dumb ass. We eminated from European settlers and defeated the US when we were invaded in the early days. You certainly don't understand Canadians; for example, talk this way in person up here you'd get your ass kicked. If the US puts a tariff on Canadian heavy Oil, which comes at a price far cheaper then you can produce yourself, your gas prices go up immediately. End of story. Now factor in that many US sources are basically running out of affordable production ( like shale ), you get an even bigger problem within 5 years. Natural gas isn't as important to either nation but Canada is preparing to open up the Asian markets in 2025 with a new pipeline that's basically finished. This will be highly beneficial to Canadian producers because the US pays under market prices for their product.
A correction that huge blackout was entirely due to the poor operation of a US provider on the grid. That event certain made Canadians nervous about sharing the grid with the US because many smaller US operators can skirt procedures to try to turn a profit. In any event, if the US pushes too hard on this bs, it might push Canada to take on the short term economic pain and reduce it's trade reliance on the US. Already small steps have been taken ( eg pipeline to the Pacific, trade deals with Asia and Europe ). Our politicians are too comfortable but Trump can force us to improve our situation ironically a negative for the US ( some of the import deals from Canada are just too sweet right now ). Definitely the whole Trump thing has soured many Canadians attitudes about the US. We simply can't trust the politics of the US right now.
I fully agree with this we need to educate mainstream US about how the economy works. The problem is Trump often floats threats and sometimes implements short term than waters down or cancels them when he sees the actual results. Go ahead put on the 25% tariff on Canada. Let the fireworks ensue, and remember, it's Trump's idea in action. I want higher gas prices in the US, contrary to his other promise of much lower prices based on projects that would take many years to finish. Canadian politicians and some businesses share some of the blame here. They haven't played hard ball enough with the US and in some cases they sell their product far too cheap in the US.
You truly are divorced from reality. Go ahead put on the tariffs it should be entertaining. If you want Canadian product it's time for YOU to pay up.
You're wrong. I have talked like that before in Canada and nobody did shit. Are all Canadian's narcissist? I have never encountered such blatant grandiosity in my life.
