President Trump, Please Fulfill Your Promises, Enact Your Vows

  1. Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum has appeared to contradict President-elect Donald Trump’s claim that the two have struck a deal to stop migration to the US border.

After a phone call on Wednesday, Trump posted online: “She has agreed to stop Migration through Mexico, and into the United States, effectively closing our Southern Border.”

Sheinbaum responded quickly that she had reiterated Mexico's position was not to close borders, but to address migration while respecting human rights.

So......this tells me that trump will not allow a woman to contradict a lie he told and he will push forward with some type of tariffs with Mexico. Of course we want the border closed but knowing closing a geographic boundary is impossible we need to stop entry as much as possible. Mexico stated that US demand for illegal drugs and US issuing visas are problems US should fix. Sounds like a Mexican standoff haha

trump does not like to go back on.anything he says but prefers to double down. I think this exchange increases the likelihood of tariffs. As long as Americans are willing to pay for it I say go for it!

Not to worry… I expect we are only a few days away from a Trump administration member proposing to shoot anyone crossing the border.

You seem to think posting irrational content online somehow gains you leverage in the real world. How did that work out for you in term one ?

That escalation does nothing for Ukraine. Russia has shot down those ATACMS and Storm Shadow missiles. No doubt, at some point, some will get thru. Russia should destroy the missiles at the shipping point as it is transported by trains. The missile launchers will be useless without missiles to fire. Joe Biden or whoever is in charge trying very hard to start World War 3 before President Donald Trump assumes office and ends the Ukraine proxy war.

Trump and many forget they get 80% to 90% of their electricity from Canada (e.g. Hydro-Québec) to help keep electricity costs at a manageable level along with most all of the natural gas being consumed in the United States...all of it comes from Canada.

A major concern in the United States during the winter months. In fact, top Natural Gas traders...they monitor Canada's supply.

In total, two-way energy trade of oil, natural gas, electricity and uranium reached a record total in 2023 of $156 billion USD.

Further, many Americans living in the northern border communities frequently buy cheaper goods & services in Canada because of part...the currency exchange rate.

In addition, the United States is more vulnerable to droughts than Canada which greatly impacts agriculture and livestock in the U.S...forgetting that the U.S. is very dependent upon Canada for fresh water to keep the cost of groceries from going higher in comparison to what they are today.

This is a growing concern in the U.S. because of climate change as temperatures increase across the United States.

Further, the United States has become more dependent on importing Oil from Canada while giving American citizens the illusion of being less dependent on OPEC. In reality, the U.S. became more dependent on Canada to compensate for being less dependent on OPEC.

Simply, if Trump uses tariffs as a threat to get resources cheaper from Canada or raise the cost of resources that Canada gets from the U.S. under the illusion that Canada is not pulling its weight in trade...Canada already has laws and plans in place to limit what it sends to the United States for whatever reason.

Yes, Canada is dependent on the United States for minerals, steel, and iron. It has plans in place to get them from China if Trump creates a trade war with Canada.

Only a complete idiot would want Americans to suffer with higher energy costs, higher groceries, higher costs of water, and electricity...a road that will cost America greatly for many years.
