Self deportations are way up too. Deportations will ensure you are permanently banned. That is why some have decided to leave voluntarily. Temporary bans of 3 or 10 years for re-applying is way better than a permanent ban. Those deported back to their countries telling their countrymen not to even attempt entry into the US. Word of mouth works well too in dissuading future border crossings.

Trump campaigned on 50% lower has prices but 25% tariffs on Canadian Oil. There is no critical thinking skills here.

Still, wrecking the economy is better than having to hear about those people with coloured hair.

President Trump! Don't let the pollsters fool you, you're more popular than ever, than any president ever!
Please continue with your libertarian, Heritage agenda, the American people have shown strong, consistent support for that kind of governance!

What a whiner he is. Everybody else's fault except his own. This will be a common theme when his tariffs severely disrupt the US economy.

Some tariffs are already in effect, e.g. vs. China. Yesterday I was informed of a massive supply shock to one of our US suppliers' electronic parts, pushing back deliveries of those parts to May 2027! I have not investigated yet, but it would not surprise me if those parts come from China.
And for those who'd say, "you live in Canada, just buy direct from China", I can't. Their factories sell those parts in minimum order quantities in the 100s of thousands, an "uneconomic" order size for me.

Trump keeps pushing most Canadian tariffs back. It's almost as if he realizes all the shit that will go down the minute the tariffs go live. The honeymoon phase of his Presidency will be effectively over the minute the automakers lay off thousands and/or US gas prices go up. That's on top of the DOGE chaos and US companies already cancelling projects and plans because the tariff scenarios are just too much risk to take on.

He still hasn't figured out why Oil producers aren't increasing production. When the paper market underprices Oil, and the related stocks are cheap due to sentiment, there is no reason for any of them to increase production. Instead, they double down on maximizing profits on existing higher margin wells and increasing shareholder payouts to protect their share prices. The companies got burned in 2018-2020 and found out neither govt nor banks were going to help them when shit hits the fan in the Oil business. Who the hell is going to trust Trump to help them if the new wells are unprofitable.
