Romney doesn't have a shot, everybody on Wall Street basically knows that. My trade for an Obama victory will be short SPY.
The only Romney agenda I like is his plans to go tough on China. Other than that his declared plans are not those of a turnaround specialist, not even near. Worst, under Romney, US might get into a shooting and long stagnant war with Iran, which can really ruin the economy.
If Romney wins I don't think there's anyway he can avoid firing Bernanke. How do you figure there won't still be a fiscal cliff ? There is something called the Senate ... no way the Dems will lose the Senate, and they'd certainly have no reason to negotiate with the House after what the House has pulled over the last 2 years. Romney talking tough on China is purely political grandstanding. Just like him saying he'd send troops into Syria to bust down Assad... I'd like to see that fly on the nightly news: "US troops kill Christians and support radical Muslims." (The minority regime of Assad is made up of like 10% Christians along with other minority groups.) The minority groups will likely get wiped out when Assad falls, and they know it. @Humpy check intrade.com for betting
