President of Oasis forex scam is facing a 30 years sentence

  1. Yeah. Imagine how easy it is to overwhelm the very, very few of them that exist.

    This isn't anything new or different, although it's dressed up in modern clothing. If you steal a dime, you're a thief; if you steal a billion, you're the king. If you kill one, you're a murderer; if you kill fifty million, you're a great conqueror and they put up statues with your name on them and study your brilliant tactics in every war college in the world. All of human history is pretty much a continuous illustration of the fact that reality and the concept of "fairness" don't coincide very often.

    I know and you're completely right. Sometimes I just hope that we can outgrow that mentality but that hope is clearly in vain, unfortunately.

  3. Jail time, like in this case, is whats needed for those HFT ppl caught spoofing orders. Not the BS "slap on the hand" fines they still get....
